The Sprangers Yard Christmas Party. Annum Uno.

So I've never quite seen so much sushi crammed onto one plate (a wonderful marvel) and i've never before been involved in the practice of "sending drinks over."
Both of these things are things I could get used to...
AND
I heart plum sake!!!

what is sadder than a Hat-Trick of disallowed goals?

DANGER. BAY.

Mullally strikes again.....(contrary to what the photos might have you believe, Una started it. She always starts it.)
But that's why we love her after all.
I would like to take a second to congratulate her on her standup comedy debut, which I missed sadly. Apparently she was funny. Very funny.
Yay!!

the village this week

I try to avoid the place as a rule, for no reason other than being a tad anti-social. (it's nab central at the best of times....)
BUT
I was there twice this week, and enjoyed myself thouroughly both times.
Monday was Jose Gonzales. What a beautiful gig. This man has one of those voices that makes you fall in love instantly, so deep and mournful, it was hypnotic.

Then, in absolute contrast, was Stars on tuesday. Canuck rock of the cheesiest variety. The gig was wonderful really! I love the album Heart and was happy to see loads of people agreed with me. The night was all about singing along and trumpet solos. Cool beans.

photees!!!

here are a few of my favorite photo's from the Mercury Rev gig we played at last week in Sheppards Bush Empire...

Dara O'Briain

So Funny

SO

FUNNY!!

Truly.
Ok so this was my second foray into stand-up comedy zone, a place I was reluctant to venture into previously... but it was well worth it. I had seen him on the tele in Bristol on a rather sad night on tour, so I was quite open to a bit of humour. This was quite different though. Most notably, the swearing was great. It was used to a fantastic advantage. Quite stellar. Then there was the audience participation, of which I was VERY JEALOUS. (at one point he was close to enquiring about the presence of Canadians in the audience and I felt Mark shrink beside me in horror....)

Maybe I fancy him a bit.
Or maybe it's just the jokes.

I Heart Nasi!!

yum-er-ific.
