the Liffey Descent (into madness....)



We survived it, just barely. I might have Weills disease, Paddy is conviced he was bitten by rats, we were both SAVAGED by every pointy or nettley plant in existance and our noble vessel SANK but we're still here.
It was an adventure to say the least. It's really a shame our boat was so crap, we were kicking serious ass at the beginning of the race. We were in the top ten for the first five miles or so. I think we split the front on the first major weir, then sank steadily through the jungle. We kept trucking though and made it 7 miles before the holes in the fiberglass were as big as houses.
(I was very brave. There were spiders AND swans.)
