the first month in....

It's hard to watch the rent money leave the bank account. 1250 euros here today, gone tomorrow. It's worth it though I suppose. I still love our apartment and we still all seem to be friends which is encouraging! I thought it'd be tough adjusting to co-habitation after my period of recluse in Sandymount, but the transition has been smooth. I like being around people, contrary to popular opinion! I still take to hiding in my room with the animals sometimes, I've always relished a bit of alone time! The reason for this post is that I'd like to pay tribute to the one thing I miss about my old apartment.... the pirate ship wallpaper in the loo. It was the selling point when I was viewing the apartment and was a constant source of amusement and wonder for me. I don't miss the spiders, the potato bugs (wood lice to the Irish) or the army of snails on my front door, but I do miss my toilet!
